Anyway, she got several awards at the "graduation" ceremony, including the Presidential Academic Fitness Award for maintaining at least a 90% average in all core subjects since 4th grade.
She reminded me so much of myself, it wasn't funny. She was so stressed out about the possibility of not receiving the award....I felt like I was waiting at my pinning ceremony all over again waiting to see if I would receive my honor cords. We gave each other the thumbs up when her name was called.
She worked hard. We are proud.Here's a picture of her after her ceremony.
