When I had my first baby, there was no such thing as a "onesie." Am I dating myself? I remember attaching elastic suspender-like straps that wrapped around Alex's butt from the back to the front in order to keep the t-shirt from riding up. With my second baby, I thought the onesie was the best invention ever!!!Well, after 8 years without a baby, it is amazing to see all of the new things that are available for my sister's new baby. My absolute favorite new baby gadget is this blanket/swaddling device.
Remember having to learn how to swaddle a baby? Position blanket like a diamond. Fold down top corner. Place baby on it. Fold over left side. Fold up bottom. Fold over right side, tucking tightly all the while. Mark and I would almost compete at who had the better swaddle.Well, with this new thing, there's no going wrong... It has velcro and all to hold the swaddle tight. It is awesome.
And, my new niece, Berkeley looks adorable in it, and LOVES it... my sister says it puts her right to sleep.
It's like a little "Berkeley Burrito."

Unfortunately , I think she's getting too big for her Berkeley burrito. Her legs are too long for it....they're criss-cross in there, but she's not complaining yet.
